LG comes back again in the mobile market and recently launched its new W series smartphones in India, LG W10 and W30.  Both these phones comes under 10k budget, W10 priced at Rs.8,999/- and W30 is priced at Rs.9,999/-. Both of these phones comes with

We got a Platinum Grey colored LG W30 smartphone for review, so lets start with :

Build & Design : LG W30 is made of polycarbonate and its glossy finish provides it a glass looks.  Lightweight handset W30 comes with a notch display that includes less bezels on sides. Due to glossy looks, light weight and notch display it looks premium smartphone under affordable 10k segment.

Its has smooth and Scratch Resistance 2.5D glass on its display but its glossy finish attracts fingerprints on its body. Its glossy looks provides it a premium looks but you should have to be extra careful with this handset so that it may not slip out of your hand due to its buttery smooth and glossy finish.

Size & Display : LG W30 has a 6.26 inch HD plus, V shape top notch IPS LCD FullVision display with 266ppi pixel density & 1500x720p resolution . Notch display has customizable settings through which we can change or disable the notch. Display brightness and color reproduction quality is satisfactory.

Processor - RAM – Performance : W30 handset is packed with Helio P22 MediaTek Processor that has a support of 32GB onboard storage space coupled with 3GB RAM.  It comes with a Hybrid Sim Slot and its storage can be expand upto 256GB through microSD Card. If you are a gaming lover, you can use it for normal gaming but it doesn’t support high graphic games like Asphalt 8/9 or PUBG etc. You may not use Second Sim, if you are using a MicroSD Card in it. It shows a mild heat on its top when playing games but I think it’s a normal thing.

Operating System : W30 smartphone has a latest Android operating system Pie v.9.0 support, that is Stock Android. It has only basic apps including Google apps, means no unusual apps or bloatware is given in it.

Sim, Connectivity & Other Features : LG W30 is a Tocuchscreen, Dual Sim (Hybrid) Slot smartphone with 4G connectivity including VoLTE & ViLTE. It supports Bluetooth, WiFi, WiFi Direct, GPS, Modem Function, GPRS – EDGE, Bluetooth Tethering, USB Connectivity, MicroUSB Charging and USB OTG features. LG W30 includes Sensors like Accelerometer Sensor, Gyroscope Sensor, Proximity Sensor and Fingerprint Sensor on its back panel in the center of its body that works good but its pin unlocking system is a bit slow coz it requires to press ok /  after typing pin. Sound quality of the handset is satisfactory. It has some shortcuts and gestures in its settings, it also includes scroll screenshot feature. It also has a Panic Button feature that works for emergency calling for help.

Camera Features :  W30 handset equipped with triple Primary Cameras on its back and main 12MP camera using Sony IMX486 image sensor with aperture f/2.0, other 13MP comes with f/2.2 aperture it is a wide angle fixed focus camera and third one 2MP depth sensor. Its camera autofocus and shutter speed is a bit slow and it lags while taking still images and images gets blurry if your hand or subject not still means image stabilization issue is seen there as electronic image stabilization feature is missing in this smartphone. Camera picture quality is perfect and its up to the mark according to its price range.

WideAngle (Click to view full size picture)

While using wide angle it captures images like noisy and it feels like something is missing, if we talk about the image detailing. Bokeh mode is also works satisfactory.

Night Mode

And going to the night mode it again captures noisy dark images but good is its wide angle works even in the night mode.  Front selfie shooter disappoints when using in low light conditions HDR mode helps a bit, still you find it an average image quality.

Battery Life : LG W30 packs a big 4000mAh Battery that provides a battery life for more than a day in normal uses and in mix-moderate uses it last for a whole. Its 10W charger is capable to fully charge it approx two hours time.

Conclusion : This handset may be a good choice according to its price but it has some tough competitors already available in the market. So, company needs to do some more homework on these type of devices with some improvements, so that it can compete with other market leaders in this price segment like Techno, Infinix, Realme, Mi etc.
