vivo Announces A New Crowdsourced ‘Make In India’ Logo

· vivo India had announced a contest last year inviting designs that showcased the company’s commitment to making India a manufacturing hub

·  The final logo was selected after screening more than 3000 entries received pan India and will be first showcased on the upcoming V19

·  The winner will be awarded INR 5 lacs as prize money


vivo, the global innovative smartphone brand, announced the winners of their ‘Make in India’ logo contest today. Bringing to life the brand’s Make in India commitment, the winning logo, designed by Rahul Patel (a design enthusiast from Mumbai) and crowdsourced on Talenthouse India (A Division of Reliance Entertainment) will be printed on all vivo devices including the recently launched V19. This logo reestablishes the firm’s commitment to stay invested in the country and also reiterates that every vivo device sold in India is made in India.





vivo had invited enthusiasts to design a new logo in early November last year as part of their 5-year celebration. The winner, selected from 3300 entries, will be rewarded prize money of INR 5 lacs for the rights of their logo. Additionally, ten runner-up winners will receive vivo devices.


Congratulating the winners, Nipun Marya, Director-Brand Strategy, vivo India said, “It is a moment of delight for us to announce the winners of ‘Make in India’ logo contest. It was great to see participants unleash their creativity and share so many wonderful designs. Supporting Government of India’s “Make in India” initiative, vivo India has been manufacturing all its products in the country. vivo has continuously strengthened its manufacturing capabilities in the country and recently announced an additional investment of INR 3,500 crore in its upcoming manufacturing facility. The brand’s total investment In India for manufacturing devices will be at INR 7,500 crore. As part of its absolute commitment to the Indian market, all devices that are sold in India are manufactured in India.
