Vedanta Sesa Goa Iron Ore Reiterates Its Commitment Towards Environment Conservation Through Plantation Drives During ‘Van Mahotsav’

Vedanta Sesa Goa Iron reiterated its commitment towards sustainable ecosystem on the occasion of ‘Van Mahotsav’, by initiating series of plantation drives. The weeklong plantation programs from 1^st to 7^th July 2020, across all Vedanta Sesa Goa Iron Ore business locations at Goa, Karnataka & Barbil- Odisha, aims to raise awareness about Environment Conservation and drive the efforts towards creating sustainable & greener environment by facilitating afforestation within plant premises & periphery of the operations by partnering with communities around.

Environment conservation is the major thrust area of Vedanta Sesa Goa Iron Ore's CSR interventions and an integral part of Vedanta's Business philosophy. Over the past several decades, Vedanta Sesa Goa Iron Ore has contributed to Environment conservation initiatives through robust community engagement programs including Environment awareness campaigns, plantation drives, Assistance to nearby communities for adopting eco-friendly practices, introduction of greener & Environment friendly business practices etc.  

Vedanta Sesa Goa iron ore has a legacy of around seven decades in Mining and metals. The company has introduced several Environment protective and Bio-diversity conservation measures.
