An amount of Rs. 51,000
will be given to the respective families of 36 deceased police officers &
to 6 officers who were affected with the virus

announces one-time monetary fund for the real-life Covid-19 warriors, the
true unmentioned and unseen Heroes of the Police force who spend their days and
nights patrolling and defending the Nation from within and who kept
us safe during the Covid-19 pandemic. An amount of Rs. 51,000 will be given to
honour the contribution 6 police officers who fought the virus and to the
families of the 36 officers who succumbed to it while adhering to the protocols
and procedures.

Ministry has recommended the names of a few brave hearts, which includes 12
officers of Kolkata Police and 24 officers of West Bengal State Police force
for the fund. This also involves the name of 6 officers who defeated the virus
namely SI Pritam Kumar Biswas, SI Nirupam Dutta, OC Doulatabad & LSI Mayuri
Ghosh, Bidhannagar Commissionerate - Anuradha Mondal, Traffic Inspector -
Sukanta Karmakar and Goutam Sarkar.
The grant was funded
to ensure that the officers and the families of the deceased continue to
receive medical assistance and other needed supports. This gesture is most
importantly to salute their acts of bravery, acts of heroism,
patience and valour.

opportunity for us to contribute to the ones who made sure of our safety during
uncertain times. We live freely as we know that the policemen
