Indian mobile brand Micromax has launched its latest smartphone device IN-2b in India, IN-2b is a successor to its previous mobile In-1b. Micromax In-1b starts from 3GB of RAM with 32GB of internal storage, but the In-2b smartphone comes in two storage variants 4GB of RAM and 6GB of RAM both with 64GB of onboard storage. Micromax has launched this device in three colors Green, Blue and Black.
In today’s review we are going to review Micromax In-2b mobile, we got one Green Colored, 4GB & 64GB mobile variant to review. It was launched on 30th July 2021 at initial launch price of Rs.7,999/-.

Micromax In-2b mobile comes with 6.52 inches smooth touch display at 20:9 aspect ratio. This device is powered with Unisoc T610 Octacore 64 bit processor. In-2b is a dual 4G nano sim supported mobile which comes with a dedicated MicroSD card slot that helps user to expand its internal storage more upto 256GB SD Card. It packs 4GB/ 6GB of RAM we got 4GB variant, both variant comes with 64GB of internal storage space.
In-2b has newly designed dual camera setup on its back panel 13MP primary camera with f/1.8 aperture and second is a 2MP depth sensor (f/2.4) camera with an LED flash light and a Fingerprint Sensor. It also equips one 5MP f/2.2 aperture Selfie Camera on its front. It also supports Face Unlocking System.
Micromax In-2b runs Android 11 operating system and it packs a big 5000mAh Battery. For connectivity it sports Bluetooth v5.0, Wifi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, GPS, Dual 4G Sim Slots, USB Type-C. Sensors included on in this device are Accelerometer, Ambient Light, Fingerprint, Proximity Sensor and Facial Unlock.
This device is priced in India at Rs.7,999-00. for 4GB & 64GB and Rs.8,999-00 for 6GB/ 64GB variant.
Size & Display
Micromax In-2b comes features 6.52” HD+ - IPS - 280Dpi - waterdrop
notch display with 20:9 aspect ratio and 400 nits brightness. It
screen-to-body ratio is 89%. Display is bright, and touch is very smooth
and responsive. IN-2b has poly-carbonate plastic built curved body on back and front it has curved glass on its display, that is bright and clear.
Processor, Sim Slots & Storage
In-2b packs a Unisoc T610 ARM Cortex 64Bit Chipset that couples 4GB RAM and 64GB onboard storage with a dedicated MicroSD Card expandability option upto 256GB more space on this device. This device has dual 4G Sim Slots and both are Nano Sim Slots. It also packs Mali-G52 GPU inside for graphical uses. CPU & GPU works fine we tested it to play Asphalt-9 like heavy graphics game and we don’t find any lag or graphical distortion on its display. 64GB storage with 256GB expansion is a big space for users to store more apps, images, videos and games on it. Volume up-down keys given on the right side along with the power button. SIM tray is given on the left. There is no point is given on it's top and type-C charging port & mic is placed on its lower end with 3.5mm Audio Jack. Hands-free set is not included in the box.
Camera & Photography
In-2b mobile equips a Dual Rear Camera Setup which includes 13MP (f/1.8) +2MP and it includes Beauty Mode, Slo-motion, Panorama, Time Lapse, Night Mode & Background Portrait Mode, Motion Photo, Play & Pause Video Shoot, FHD front and back recording. On Its front panel it packs a 5MP Selfie shooter camera. Camera given on the device is an average camera that works fine in the daylight but it disappoints in the dark. It’s not works for photography lovers.
Software, Connectivity, Ports & Sensors
This handset comes with dual 4G Nano Sim slots with one dedicated SD card slot for expansion. It has latest BT v5.0, WiFi and GPS support with one USB Type-C port. In-2b runs latest Android OS v11 that is a stock android with no bloatware that’s why Micromax says it’s a “No Hang Phone”. Sensors includes are Accelerometer, Ambient Light, Fingerprint, Proximity Sensor and Facial Unlock. It comes with Google Apps, Calendar, Calculator, Alarm and FM inbuilt. It you have to install even Facebook and WhatsApp like apps manually on the device. No Extra apps means no extra burden on your device means no lag – no hang and no extra battery consumption. It’s a good thing. Wifi connectivity is very fast, it detects very fast, when Wifi is turned on.
Face Unlock system and a Fingerprint sensors are given for complete device security. Face Unlock and Fingerprint also works fine.
Speaker sound is very loud, but given on the back panel that’s is not acceptable. It restricts sound when it is placed on a soft surface like sofa or bed.
Extra Features
It includes extra features like Bluetooth, WiFi, WiFi Hotspot, WiFi Calling, Do Not Disturb, Nearby Share, Screen Record, Night Light and Battery Saver pre-installed on it.
Battery Life
In-2b packs a big 5000mAh inbuilt fast charging Battery with 10Watts Charging Adaptor. It offers 20hrs of Web Browsing, 15hrs of Video Streaming, and 160hrs of music playback on a sing full charge as micromax claims. Type-C Charging Battery is really big but its power adaptor is not a fast charging, it took more than 2hrs 30min. to charge zero to 100%. This needs to be improved.
One thing that I like most, is gaming experience on it, we installed Asphalt-9 game when 15% of battery is left and we played Asphalt-9 on it for 20-25min. and still it was alive with 4% of battery life and we felt mild heating on the handset and no graphical issues are seen.
For Display and device protection, one Screen Protector Film and on transparent Soft Silicon Cover is given inside the box.
Overall experience on this device is good and this device is a great deal for normal users, at the given price range.
