Bhagwati Product Ltd. Applies Under PLI Scheme For Air-Conditioner Components; Paves The Way For Global-Level Manufacturing In India

 

 

 

 

·    Is already operating under the PLI scheme for smartphones and IT hardware - in contract manufacturing arrangement with domestic and  international brands

 

·    Working with local partners to expand and strengthen the manufacturing ecosystem

 

Bhagwati Products Ltd., one of the largest Indian consumer electronics and smartphone manufacturers in the country is amongst the approved domestic companies under both existing PLI schemes for smartphones and IT hardware (Tablets & Laptops), and has already invested over INR 100 crores in expanding the manufacturing facility and adding SMT Lines. It is also manufacturing mobiles , LED TVs , tablets, air conditioners and laptops for multiple domestic and international brands in their mega factories.

 

 

 

 

To expand their manufacturing capabilities in multiple segments, Bhagwati Products Ltd has applied under the Government’s production-linked incentive (PLI) scheme for air-conditioner components.The PLI scheme for white goods components has been approved by the Union Cabinet and will be implemented over FY22 to FY29.

 

 

 

To ramp up our efforts and investment, we have also applied for the PLI scheme for Air Conditioner Component & LED Lights that will  enable us to further up our production capacity and evaluate ways to locally source components in India. Our goal would be to maximize component sourcing locally in order to create employment opportunities for our native partners, and work in tandem with the government to boost component level manufacturing in the country.” 

 

 

 

With two established state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities in India - Bhiwadi (Rajasthan) in the North and Hyderabad (Telangana) in the South. Bhagwati Product Ltd.’s current capacity across factories stands at almost 2 million smartphones a month, and 1 million LED TVs per month, and are scaling up the capacities of these facilities, while also continually working with local partners to expand the ecosystem and generate employment opportunities in the country to  support the collective vision of Atma Nirbhar Bharat.
