Bengaluru-based EdTech startup, Newton School, that is known for producing quality entry level tech talent through its industry oriented courses, has introduced Master’s programs in Data Science, Cybersecurity, AI and Computer Science in association with the reputed IU International University of Applied Sciences, Germany. IU University of Applied Sciences is the largest and fastest growing university in Germany with more than 75,000 alumni working across the globe. It is a QS 5-star rated and AACSB member university with a heritage spanning over 20 years.

The Master's Degree programs in Data Science, Cybersecurity and AI will be a year-long course each while the Computer Science program would extend for 2 years. The courses will begin in December 2021. Each course will have an intake of 30-50 students per batch, with a new batch starting every month. The programs will include weekly one-on-one mentorship sessions, mock interviews, live classes, webinars, lecture notes on main content, doubt sessions, video lessons, and industry-oriented projects.

These courses would not only provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the streams, but also with industry-relevant skills. Students would receive 60/120 ECTS credits from these courses, which will be useful if they plan to move abroad or study further. Moreover, people who enroll for a degree in Data Science, Computer Science, and Artificial Intelligence will also receive a degree from London South Bank University.

According to data from the National Association of Software and Service Companies (NASSCOM), demand for AI and other new technologies is expected to increase to 8,00,000 job openings in the coming year, but there will be insufficient supply. Operating and maintaining AI tools and software necessitates a unique set of skills, expertise, and characteristics that most graduates lack.

Through this collaboration, Newton School aims to arm the working professionals of India with these new age tech skills. Registration for courses is open and available to candidates with a three-year bachelor's degree and two years of work experience or a four-year bachelor's degree and one year of work experience.
