EVRE, One of the key enablers of EV adoption in India, has announced the inauguration of its state-of-the-art EV charger manufacturing unit at the Patancheru Industrial Development Area in Hyderabad. The opening of the new facility marks a significant milestone in the firm’s journey to build India’s sustainable and electric future, with a manufacturing capacity of up to 5,000 EV chargers monthly at the initial stage.
The newly inaugurated facility will
be producing 20,000 EV chargers over the upcoming months to meet EVRE’s order
book. By 2026, the manufacturing capacity of the facility will be expanded to
double the production capacity to 10,000 monthly — highlighting scalability and
EV adoption aspects. The facility will also manufacture EVRE's diverse range of
chargers ranging from 3.3 kW AC to 360 kW DC, with an emphasis on building
superior quality products for the Indian market and beyond.
Mr. Krishna K Jasti, Founder &
CEO, EVRE, highlighted
the vision behind the opening of the new facility, saying, “As one of
the highest EV adopting markets in the world, India stands at the crossroads of
requiring efficient chargers that not only offer optimum solutions, but are
also of premium quality. At EVRE, we are targeting large residential complexes
across India that have little to no access to EV charging infrastructure,
bringing premium EV charging experience at the doorstep of every user so they
do not need to depend on public chargers with significant downtimes.
Furthermore, we also aim to establish India as an EV charger manufacturing
powerhouse with our proprietary technology with up to 70% localization, also
contributing towards the Make in India and Atmanirbhar Bharat
initiatives.”
The cutting-edge EV charger
manufacturing unit will enable EVRE to generate over 50 local jobs,
contributing to the city’s economic viability while also building towards
establishing a sustainable and electric future. The facility will feature
custom-designed automated testing benches for PCBs, components and chargers, while
also efficiently testing products and generating detailed reports for each
unit. This will contribute towards significantly reducing testing time,
eliminating human errors, and ensuring all manufactured chargers meet the
highest quality standards.
Furthermore, the inauguration of
the brand-new manufacturing facility bolsters EVRE’s bid to contribute to the
future of India’s electric mobility. With the planned phased manufacturing
push, the firm aims to scale the sectoral efforts to push adoption rates, spearheading
the collective effort to ensure a seamless transition from conventional
vehicles to green mobility.
