Delhi University Launches PG Diploma In Cyber Security And Law - GADGET-INNOVATIONS

-It’s the first time the University of Delhi has tied up with a private entity for a cyber security course


Institute of Cyber Security and Law (ICSL), the University of Delhi with Shaheed Sukhdev College of Business Studies  (SSCBS) started with the first orientation program of its flagship course Post Graduate Diploma in Cyber Security and Law. The knowledge and delivery partner for the program is Lucideus. It is the first time the University of Delhi has tied up with a private entity for a cyber security course.


The program was inaugurated by the chief guest Dr.Gulshan Rai, National Cyber Security Coordinator, Government of India; Guest of Honour Dr Madan Oberoi, Special Commissioner, Cyber Security, Delhi Police; Prof Yogesh K Tyagi, Vice Chancellor University of Delhi; Dr Sunaina Kanojia, OSD, ICSL; Shri R R Pathania Chairperson College GB; Dr Poonam Verma, Principal  and Dr Ajay Jaiswal Program Coordinator.


The event was addressed by the Principal, emphasising the need for cyber security in this borderless virtual world and how the industry-academia partnership will benefit students. Shri R R Pathania Chairperson GB, highlighted about the appropriate environment being created in the college with Lucideus as the Knowledge Partner. The Chief Guest, Dr. Gulshan Rai acknowledged the efforts of the University to launch a program in the domain of cyber security and encouraged the students to become the best of cyber security professionals with the training and experience Lucideus will offer given their practical experience. Mr. Vidit Baxi, Co-Founder shared his views on how the course is designed in line with the requirements in the industry today.


The Keynote address by the Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, mo the students to work ethically and dedicatedly in the domain of cyber security for national development. The Guest of Honour Dr. Madan Oberoi shared his rich experience of securing the virtual world and guided the students in their future endeavours.


For the first time, the University of Delhi has partnered with a private entity -  Lucideus from the beginning to design and deliver a program. The students would study the five papers and one project in each of the two semesters, which will be taught by more than three dozen industry experts. The course shall be delivered in the classroom equipped with state of art cyber security laboratory being set up in Shaheed Sukhdev College of Business studies.
