Indian Learners Wrapped Around Python- One of the Most Popular Programming Languages
As per the recent GitHub – State of Octoverse report Python ranks amongst the top programming languages in the world (Rank #2). What makes Python so popular is its use in Artificial Intelligence applications, Data Science, Machine Learning and Data Analytics. It is also easy to get started with and offers a lot of flexibility and is versatile. Its open source nature makes it easy to learn. A large number libraries for tasks like web development, text processing, calculations add to its appeal. Python’s rapid growth over the past 5 years has been fueled by a large and expanding community of data science professionals.
Corroborating Python’s popularity is the fact that as per Coursera’s recently concluded learner trend analysis of 2019 it was the most featured subject in top 10 most popular courses list in Technology and Data Science domains in India. Python dominated the lists with courses like ‘Programming for Everybody’, ‘Python Data Structures’, ‘Python for Data Science and AI’ and more.
Besides Python the other most popular Technology courses focused on Tensor Flow for AI, Cloud Computing and Algorithms. As for the most popular courses in Data Science, the list included subjects like Machine Learning, Neural Networks and basics of Data Science besides Python.
