QuackQuack; the desi dating app for Indian singles today announced that they have crossed 11 million Indian users on their platform and 70% of the new users are from Tier-2 cities.

The platform has also been experiencing a 30% spike in users from the senior age group of 50 & above since the beginning of the lockdown. In the past one year the dating app has on-boarded 3.40 Million users with 9500 added on a daily basis.  The platform also managed to on-board 2600 Indian cities & towns in the last one year which is a 30X growth when compared to the previous year numbers of 929 Indian cities.

The dating app also conducted a small research on the spike in their users from ‘elder’ age category and the details are quite interesting.

Most of them are looking for companionship and they don’t shy away from interacting or liking profiles of users that are much younger if they do not find matches from their age group.

With 10% active users Delhi has the maximum number of Senior users followed by Bangalore at 8%, Mumbai at 7.5%, Hyderabad 7.02% and then Chennai at 6.88%. The men: women ratio is 9:1 for people of this age group, though the users are loyal to the platform and are quite active on a daily basis.
