QuackQuack; the desi dating app for Indian singles today announced that they
have crossed 11 million Indian users on their platform and 70% of the new users
are from Tier-2 cities.
The
platform has also been experiencing a 30% spike in users from the senior age
group of 50 & above since the beginning of the lockdown. In the past one
year the dating app has on-boarded 3.40 Million users with 9500 added on a
daily basis. The platform also managed to on-board 2600 Indian cities
& towns in the last one year which is a 30X growth when compared to the
previous year numbers of 929 Indian cities.
The dating app also
conducted a small research on the spike in their users from ‘elder’ age
category and the details are quite interesting.
It has been found out that
the elderly spend 50% more time as compared to the millennials when analyzing
profiles on the dating app. They also spend 70% more
time in chats while talking to their counterparts and 50% more likely to buy
paid subscriptions as compared to the younger lot. Most of them are
looking for companionship and they don’t shy away from interacting or liking
profiles of users that are much younger if they do not find matches from their
age group.
