The Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) offices were set up in Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai and Chennai to expedite and boost trade relations between the two nations. The bilateral trade, which stood at $4.7 billion in 2015-16 had touched $7.1 billion in 2018-19 and is currently at $5.75 billion for the year 2019-20.
