Nikon India Private Ltd. is thrilled to unveil the latest edition of its pioneering campaign "Through Her Lens," an annual digital contest aimed at empowering and elevating the voices of professional and amateur women photographers in India. The contest, now in its 3rd season, serves as a platform for female photographers to flaunt their creative expertise, gain valuable exposure and establish connections with the industry's top professionals. This initiative enables women to showcase their talent and skillset while breaking gender stereotypes and encouraging more women to join the field of photography.

The theme of this year's contest is "That's Me!" encouraging women photographers & videographers to submit one photograph or video that they identify with the most, along with a short description of the image/video and how it reflects their perception of themselves. This contest offers women photographers & videographers a chance to break free from societal expectations, showcase their personalities to the world, and present a true and authentic version of themselves through the art of photography. It serves as a platform for them to exhibit their unique perspective and creativity as visual artists and is poised to enable self-discovery and self-expression.

Participation is open to women photographers & videographers working in any field of photography, from Fashion, fine art to Wildlife, photojournalism, and amateurs to professionals. The contest shall run till February 21, 2023, and the entries can be submitted through the “Capture With Nikon” (www.capturewithnikon.in/) website or by uploading the photograph on Instagram, with the hashtag #ThroughHerLens3 and tagging @NikonIndiaOfficial.

The contest will be judged by a panel of renowned women photographers and Nikon Creators, including Latika Nath (Wildlife Photographer), Smita Sharma (Documentary Photographer), Richa Maheshwari (Fashion Photographer) and Tania Chatterjee (Street Photographer). Nikon shall announce a total of 3 winners on International Women's Day, with a total prize worth INR 3.8 Lakhs. Nikon India encourages all women photographers & videographers of India to participate in this exciting opportunity to not only showcase their work but also have their voices heard in the photography industry.
