Garmin has
announced its 2-year unique warranty Policy for its watches purchased
in India, for the models which have been launched in India after January 2024,
including the Forerunner 165 Series, Fenix 8 Series, Enduro 3, Instinct 3
Series, and upcoming eligible models. The extended warranty aims to add
additional value to Garmin watches purchased within India and encourage
customers to purchase through authorized channels. This initiative also aims to
inform prospective buyers that purchases made abroad or through unofficial
websites may carry only a 1-year warranty, and could be subject to import duty
and GST when availing warranty services in India as per Government rules.
We recently
realized that some unused/ refurbished/ discontinued / non-warranty products
are still being offered to the customer without informing them that no warranty
will be applicable on such products, resulting in a bitter service experience
for such customers.
As a part of this
initiative, the company is offering an exclusive limited-time exchange
opportunity to such affected customers, where they can get 50% off on Venu Sq 2
or 25% off on other Garmin watches, subject to availability, in return for any
such mis-sold watch backed with a proper tax invoice. This limited-time offer
will run from 1st June until 30th June 2025 under this one-time
service initiative.
To address this, we
strongly recommend that customers refer and only buy those products that are
available/ live on the Garmin India website to make sure any discontinued or
non-serviceable product is not sold to the customer, which may create a problem
in availing warranty on such products.
To avail this
exchange opportunity, customers are required to email their concern to marketing@garmin-india.com.
Upon receiving the query, the support team will acknowledge the request and
guide the customer through the next steps of the service process to avail them
of the benefit within the next 15 days, if applicable.
This scheme has
been introduced to enhance customer satisfaction for affected customers who are
not eligible for a warranty, even if their purchase falls within 1 year.
