Establishes Regional HQ in Bahrain to Power Gamification Across Leading Apps in MENA

Gamezop - a company that enables casual gaming for leading apps around the world, has announced its international expansion with a wholly-owned subsidiary in Bahrain. The Indian company is investing $4 million to accelerate operations, hire local talent, and explore acquisitions.

With the investment, the company aims to onboard 1,000 new apps in the Middle East, eyeing $5–6 million in additional revenue over 18 months.

Backed by BITKRAFT Ventures, Gamezop was founded in 2016 by Yashash Agarwal and Gaurav Agarwal and is headquartered in Gurgaon. It enables over 9,000 apps across 70 countries to offer casual games to their users without having to procure, host, or manage the games themselves. This plug-and-play model helps apps increase both user engagement and monetisation.

Bahrain will be Gamezop’s HQ for the Middle East, which is seeing rapid digital transformation, driven by high smartphone penetration, a tech-savvy youth population, and growing demand for immersive online experiences. As MENA emerges as the world’s fastest-growing gaming market (CAGR 12–15%), consumer-facing apps across the region are increasingly embedding casual games to deepen user engagement and unlock new revenue streams – a need Gamezop is uniquely positioned to meet.

Gaurav Agarwal, co-founder of Gamezop, said: “We chose Bahrain for its strategic location, business-friendly environment, and access to the wider region. We anticipate Bahrain will continue to attract leading global companies to establish their regional hubs here, thanks to its forward-looking policies and the proactive support of the Bahrain Economic Development Board, which has been instrumental in supporting our expansion,” Agarwal noted. “Our presence here marks the beginning of what we hope will become a strong digital bridge between India and the Middle East.”

“Gamezop aims to build the world’s largest distribution network for digital content – we started with games and expanded to verticals like quizzing, astrology, and cricket. As digital platforms continue looking for growth, Gamezop is increasingly becoming a key part of their monetisation stack. We are proud to be part of India’s journey in building technology that serves the global market.”

Recognizing Gamezop’s strategic value to Bahrain’s digital ecosystem, the Bahrain Economic Development Board – the country’s investment promotion agency – actively championed the company’s establishment in the Kingdom.

Commenting on the development, Musab Abdulla, Executive Director of ICT at the Bahrain EDB, said, “Bahrain’s gaming and content creation ecosystem is building strong momentum, powered by robust digital infrastructure, supportive government initiatives and a growing pool of ambitious, creative talent. The arrival of innovative companies like Gamezop further accelerates this growth, creating new opportunities for local developers and reinforcing Bahrain’s position as a hub for creative industries in the region.”
