best-selling number series line-up of devices - Redmi 9. The new smartphone
brings high value at an affordable price point in line with Redmi’s mission of
bringing innovation for everyone.
Design:
Redmi 9 features the Aura Iconic
Design. It sports a 16.5cm (6.35) IPS HD+ display with a 20:9 aspect ratio for
an immersive viewing experience. The display comes with TÜV Rheinland Low Blue
Light certification. The rear of Redmi 9 sports a textured design that prevents
fingerprints so that the device can retain its pristine look at all times. The
device features a fingerprint sensor on the rear and AI face unlock to ensure
secure access to your smartphone. Like its predecessors, Redmi 9 also supports
dual 4G standby SIM cards with a dedicated microSD card slot and comes with a
3.5mm headphone jack.
Camera:
Redmi 9 sports an AI dual camera
that can capture crisp and clear images in a variety of situations with ease.
The device sports a 13MP main camera and a 2MP depth sensor coupled with an LED
flash. The device integrates creativity and productivity into the photography
experience with features including kaleidoscope, document scanner and palm
shutter. The AI selfie camera is powered by a 5MP sensor.
Performance:
To cater to the increasing media
consumption, Redmi is setting the standard in the segment by bringing a minimum
of 4GB RAM and 64GB of storage with a dedicated microSD card slot for expansion
up to 512GB. Redmi 9 is also available in a 4GB RAM and 128GB storage variant.
Redmi 9 sports a MediaTek Helio
G35, an octa-core gaming chipset which is clocked up to 2.3GHz. The device is
paired with a 5000mAh high capacity enhanced battery which enables a 25% longer
battery life cycle as compared to conventional smartphone batteries. Redmi 9
runs MIUI 12 based on Android 10 out of the box.
Quality:
Like all Redmi devices, the
Redmi 9 also upholds the highest levels of quality. Redmi 9 comes equipped with
P2i water resistant coating to protect the phone against accidental splashes.

Availability:
Redmi 9 will be available in
three color variants: Carbon Black, Sporty Orange, Sky Blue across mi.com,
Amazon India, Mi Homes and Mi Studios starting 31st August 2020. The retail
price is INR 8999 for the 4GB+64GB variant and INR 9999 for the 4GB+128GB
variant.
